The National Emergencies Trust Selects The Curve Group as Recruitment and HR Surge Partner
15th October 2024: The Curve Group is delighted to announce their appointment as Recruitment and HR Surge partner for The National Emergencies Trust (The Trust). A leading provider of Recruitment and HR consultancy and delivery services in the UK, The Curve Group will provide rapid Recruitment and HR support for The National Emergencies Trust in the event of a national emergency.
The National Emergencies Trust was launched by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in November 2019. The Trust was formed in response to a chain of devastating events that hit the UK in 2017; the Manchester Arena bombing, the Grenfell Tower fire, and the terror attacks in London at Westminster Bridge and London Bridge. The National Emergencies Trust supports those affected by UK emergencies at their time of greatest need, by raising and distributing funds fast and fairly to those affected and partnering with local and national charities to offer a range of services to help survivors and their families, including physical rehabilitation, mental health support, bereavement support and financial assistance.
As integrated Recruitment and HR partner for The National Emergencies Trust, The Curve Group will be ready to step in to recruit and onboard new team members during their next emergency appeal, meaning The National Emergencies Trust team can focus on ensuring funds raised support those affected when they need it.
Commenting on the appointment of The Curve Group, Helen Killingley, Director of Operations, says: “The Curve Group’s proven recruitment expertise and support will be instrumental in ensuring we efficiently manage our people needs during crucial periods. We have already begun to collaboratively undertake preparation activities to ensure we are ready when the time comes. During this time, it’s already become clear to me how committed Curve are to ensuring the success of our partnership and delivering when we need them to step up.”
Kelly York, Chief Operating Officer at The Curve Group, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to support such a worthy organisation, one which truly makes a real difference to people’s lives during their time of need. Clearly, we hope our services will not be required, but if they are, we are putting the steps in place now to ensure we can support The National Emergencies Trust to focus on delivering the valuable and necessary support they offer.”

In the aftermath of these disasters, the prevalence of individual fundraising pages made it hard to address instances of fraud. While the innovative work by the London Emergencies Trust and We Love Manchester Fund showed the benefits of taking a fast and coordinated approach to raising and sharing out funds for those affected. As a result, sector experts and emergency survivors came together to conceive the National Emergencies Trust.
We are an independent charity, dedicated to responding to UK disasters in a matter of hours. We establish a nationwide fundraising appeal to ensure those affected receive financial support as soon as they need it. The funds raised are shared out as financial gifts to survivors and their loved ones to spend as they wish, according to their own personal needs.
