This was swiftly followed by what’s been dubbed ‘The Great Resignation’ – Microsoft’s infamous 2021 Work Trend Index reported 41% of workers considering leaving their current employer within the next year and 46% ‘planning to make a major pivot or career transition’.
As a result, the ‘war for talent’ is rife. Drop-out rates have increased, as have the volume of candidates declining offers. Naturally, the time taken to hire has shot up. We know it’s tough out there.
