High Volume Recruitment Project for Leading Financial Services Provider

High Volume Recruitment Project

High Volume Recruitment Project for Leading Financial Services Provider

Service: High Volume Recruitment Project

Industry: Financial Services

Headcount: 850

Location: UK

Our client is a leading provider of consumer finance, loyalty and data services for over 200 nationally recognised UK business partners. With over 150 years of experience in the UK market, they have built a community of over 4 million customers. Their products and services include credit cards, loans, loyalty programmes and retail finance.

Our client had just agreed terms on a major new partnership credit card and had just 6 weeks until the launch date.

From a talent perspective, they required 84 new hires to support of the new card partnership, ranging from Customer Services Advisors, through to Collections, Credit and Team Leaders. The client needed to hire and train these 84 new recruits in just 6 weeks. This recruitment project was in addition to the BAU the roles we were currently recruiting for the client as part of their Recruitment Process Outsource Service, for the day-to-day business of the client.

At The Curve Group we have a dedicated Recruitment on Demand team in place who can be rapidly employed to cater for the high volume recruitment projects like this. As a result, our client’s team were able to hand the entire recruitment project over to us and instead could remain focussed on their own roles during this time.

We immediately built and trained a dedicated delivery team of 6 to manage all facets of the recruitment project, and curated a project plan to map out the phasing of activity from sourcing to assessment centres, induction days and training events. Within 5 days we had created all recruitment collateral and had defined, received client sign sign-off and launched an intensive, multi-channel attraction strategy in order to gain as much visibility as possible for the vacancies.

The client’s board were actively kept updated on weekly progress against targets, which was necessary considering the short time frame in which to recruit.

Within 6 weeks we:

  • Reviewed over 3,000 candidates (sourcing 2,100 of these direct rather than through agencies)
  • Screened over 840 candidates
  • Ran full day assessment centres for over 300 candidates
  • Placed 84 new team members – meeting the KPI
